Mini Grilled Short Rib Patties

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, green onion, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly with your hands.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 portions. Shape each into a small oval patty (about ½ inch thick).
  3. Heat a non-stick pan or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until nicely browned and cooked through.
  4. Serve as a banchan alongside rice, or wrap in lettuce leaves with ssamjang. Great for Korean lunch boxes (dosirak).
