Grilled Beef Short Ribs

  1. Soak the short ribs in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess blood. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Make the marinade: mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, grated onion, black pepper, and cooking wine. Add the ribs and coat well. Marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best).
  3. Grill the ribs over high heat (grill pan, outdoor grill, or broiler) for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized and slightly charred.
  4. Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve with rice and wrap in lettuce leaves if desired.
